Introduction

We will be hosting Flying Tokyo #18 at FabCafe Tokyo located at Shibuya on April 28th, 2016.
Rhizomatiks Research Flying Tokyo is an event held by Rhizomatiks that brings artists and programmers from overseas to discuss and collaborate on art, design, music, and creative culture. Past events include talks, workshops, and performances with guests who perfom in the forefront of media art such as Kyle McDonald and Elliot Woods. This time, we have invited the developer of "Openframeworks", a tool widely used around the world in creative coding and media art, Zachary Liberman. He will be introducing some of his Blobs that he has been working on.
He will also be introducing his philosophy of "Don't make demos, make poetry". Although he will be talking about advanced content, his humor and brevity will surely make the content motivational both to those who have just started to learn about creative coding as well as veteraned coders. It will surely be motivational to those who have just started in the creative coding world as well as veteraned coders.Japanese interpretation will be done by Sadakazu Oda who is familiar with the nature of digital creative. In addition, we will also have guests such as creative coder Simon Geilfus, Nvidia CUDA engineer and deep learning related solution architect Mana Murakami, artist Maša Jazbec, Hanna Saito, and editor Arina Tsukada. Women are also encouraged to participate the event.
