Abstract
-
It is often used with performance in stadium shows, while performances using technology are still rare.
A technology infused "mass game" performance was performed for the "Makomanai Fireworks Contest" held on July 19, 2015 at Sekisui Stadium in Hokkaido.
The event refreshes with new performances every year, and this year, Daito Manabe was invited to perform for the opening fireworks.- With performance and choreography led by MIKIKO and hardware by Motoi Ishibashi, controllable wireless full color led light sticks and wireworks, the collaboration with the dancers performance was realized. On the stage, the 64 dancers held the controllable wireless full color LED light sticks in both hands, only to spread the performance out widely. In the latter half of the performance, holdable fireworks were used in the dance.
System
-
A wirelessly controllable LED device that was created for the event from scratch for the performance. The patterns of the LED are wirelessly controlled, to make it as though the movement of the performers were aligned with the visual affects created by the LEDs.
128 sticks in total, of 750mm length sticks installed with 16 full color LEDs were created for the performance. -
The LED color data is stored inside of a SD card, while 920MHz wireless data.
By using the 920MHz wireless module, stable synchronized control can be achieved even in a stage 120m wide.
